Going Nowhere (MS)

 Everybody's seeking salvation

cups of tea

a nice wee break on a cruise someday


everybody's hoping God's going

to come along

and give us all redemption


all

except the folk we don't like

we want God to pick them out

at the Last Day

and specifically mention the grievances

we have about them

then cast them down

in the bottomless pit

to the eternal torment

and horrific heat of Hell


and once that's done

Justice with a capital J

Hell with a capital H

Punishment with a huge big capital P

the rest of us

the good guys

will be redeemed

and go up to Heaven

for a cup of tea

and a nice wee summer cruise

that lasts forever.
