On the Street (MS)

On the street

ghost town dwellers

Big Issue sellers

no one there to lend a hand


The streets are busy with memories

of beggars with bowls

and bustling train stations


Help is on the way

but not today or tomorrow.

Today no hope,

tomorrow will lack empathy

but after that

after that it'll all be good again.
